Island Planet Tropical Clothing

Nearly five feet across, this vintage batik painting of an undersea fantasy of colorful tropical fish over a soft seaweed floor!

Termed "Batik Tulis" this artform was done with using melted wax to define an image with little dots and lines, then painting it in.

This painting must have millions of those tiny dots--whew!--and look at the uniquely designed fish! the white stripes are a bright contrast--the soft cotton material starts out white so remember, all the white was covered with wax--lots of beforehand vision!This one is particularly beautiful!
