A lovely vintage piece of art, showing the different techniques used in this artform. Termed "Batik Tulis" this artform was done with using melted wax to define an image with little dots and lines, allowing the wax to dry, then painting it in. Afterwards the piece is boiled to remove the wax leaving all the white exposed. How cool is that?!
